These vintage rugs are woven from wool or acrylic using traditional methods passed down through generations by Berber women in the region known as Boujad.
Boujad rugs are also known as "jewel rugs" and are characterized by their dominant colors of red, purple, and pink. They often feature distinct patterns, but many also showcase abstract designs.
Each rug expresses a unique and creative combination of colors and patterns that can only be achieved through handmade craftsmanship. No two rugs are exactly alike in pattern or color.
Enjoy changing their placement with the seasons, whether under a table, beside a sofa, bed, or cabinet, or in the kitchen.
In Morocco, they are also hung on walls and admired as art.
