【Old Boucherouite Rag Rug】
Boucherouite rugs are Moroccan recycled rugs created by Berber women living in the Atlas Mountains, who tear and weave together scraps of fabric from clothing and other textiles. Since each rug uses different fabrics, the colors, patterns, and lengths of the pieces vary, making each rug a unique, one-of-a-kind item. In Morocco, these rugs are not only used as floor coverings but are also hung on walls as art, incorporated into daily life.
