Azilal rugs are handwoven by Berber women who have lived in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco for centuries, preserving traditional weaving techniques and using high-quality wool.
A distinctive feature is that the wool is dyed, resulting in many colorful designs. Even with the same type of rug, the impression can differ completely depending on the design.
Each rug, with its unique color scheme and pattern created by hand, is truly one-of-a-kind.
Made from wool, they are soft and pleasant to the touch, and with a relatively short pile and an open weave, they are attractive for their year-round usability. You can enjoy them in different locations throughout the seasons, such as under a table, by a sofa, bed, cabinet, or in the kitchen.
In Morocco, they are also hung on walls as decorative art pieces.
