Boucherouite is a recycled Moroccan rug woven by Berber women living in the Atlas Mountains, using torn pieces of fabric from old clothes and other textiles. Each rug is one-of-a-kind, featuring a unique combination of colors and varying lengths of fabric, as different materials are used for every piece. In Morocco, these rugs are not only used as floor coverings but also hung on walls as art, integrated into daily life.
